To describe the first of two commandments cited by Jesus in Matthew 22:35–40, Mark 12:28–34. These two commandments are taken from the Law of Moses in the Old Testament and are commonly seen as important to Christian ethics.
"One of the teachers of the law came and heard Jesus and some of his critics debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them good answers, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”
Matthew 22:35-40 (New International Version)
35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Four-in-Ten Pakistanis say honor killing of women
can be at least sometimes justified
The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan said
869 such attacks were reported in the media last year - several a day.
But the true figure is probably much higher since many cases are never reported.

Judaism, Christianity & Muslim faith are basically coming from the same origin, The Bible - each of these three with their own variety for different geographical and historical reasons. These 3 grew to become each their own religion with their own variety of religious practice. Below in the article 1 of 2 PART C links to detailed information showing their differences and how these 3 grew apart.

Farzana Parveen’s murder, carried out by her family members because she married a man without their consent, has shined a light on so-called “honor killing,” a practice in which relatives end the lives of women and men who are said to bring shame to the family. click: Honor killing
Sharif called Parveen’s death “totally unacceptable,” but a Pew Research Center survey conducted in 2011 found that the Prime Minister’s position is unlikely to resonate with all Pakistanis.
Honor killings claim the lives of more than 1,000 Pakistani women every year, according to a Washington Post story citing a Pakistani organization that advocates against honor killings. In the last few years, honor killings in Pakistan have gained international attention, with cases ranging from women refusing to enter into an arranged marriage, seeking a divorce or having a pre- or extra-marital affair.
In the Lahore case, Parveen’s father told police that he sought his daughter’s killing because her marriage to the man without his permission “had insulted all of our family.”
The Pew Research survey did not ask about children marrying without the consent of their parents, but did ask about ending a woman’s life if she engages in premarital sex or adultery. Four-in-ten respondents said that the practice was justified, including three-in-ten (30%) who said it was often justified and 9% who said it was sometimes justified. About half said that ending a woman’s life to protect family honor was rarely (5%) or never (46%) justified.
Although the issue of honor killings is mostly associated with women, a third of Pakistanis said that honor killings of men can be often (23%) or sometimes justified (10%). A slim majority of Pakistanis (57%) said the practice was rarely, if ever justified when men engage in premarital sex or adultery.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif called for “immediate action" over the stoning death (the "stoning death-article" is the next article below as the article C )
Pakistan PM: honor killing of pregnant woman was ‘unacceptable’

An investigation into the case showed that her husband Muhammed Iqbal had earlier killed his first wife, said a source in Sharif's administration.
A statement from Sharif's office described Iqbal's death as a "brutal killing" and said it was "totally unacceptable".
"I am directing the chief minister to take immediate action and a report must be submitted by this evening to my office," it quoted Sharif as saying.
Her husband said that police did nothing during the 15 minutes the violence lasted outside Lahore High Court.
"I begged them to help us but they said, this is not our duty," Muhammed Iqbal told Reuters. "I took off my shirt (to be humble) and begged them to save her." click: Images for Mr. Muhammad Igbal
Later a source in Sharif's administration quoted a Lahore police report as saying that Iqbal had killed his first wife.
"The person, Iqbal, who she had married ... had actually killed his own wife in an earlier case and remained a proclaimed offender. He was later arrested and was released on bail. Not a pristine (= clean) character," the source told Reuters.
The husband was not immediately available for comment.
In parts of Pakistan, a largely Muslim nation of 180 million people, women are expected to agree to arranged marriages and refusal can mean an "honor killing".
Many Pakistani families think it dishonorable for a woman to fall in love and choose her own husband.
The case drew condemnations from around the world.
"I do not even wish to use the phrase honor killing," said U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay

Lahore police chief Shafiq Ahmad said no police were present at the scene.
"They arrested the father, the main accused, a few moments after the incident," he said. "... by the time police reached the scene, the lady had been murdered."
Police initially said Farzana had been stoned, but Iqbal told Reuters that relatives had swung bricks, not thrown them.
All the suspects, except the father, who has been detained, have disappeared. A police officer on Tuesday quoted the father as saying it had been an honor killing.
The 25-year-old had offended her family by marrying Iqbal instead of a cousin selected for her.
In Pakistan, reaction has been muted - in stark contrast to the public grief and outrage caused by the gang rape and murder of a 23-year-old woman in neighboring India in 2012.
In the capital Islamabad, about 40 activists protested against brutality against women, shouting "Hang the killers of Farzana!" and "We don't accept this injustice". click: Islamabad
"Violence against women is on the rise. Women are being killed in the name of honor," said Farzana Bari, an activist.
"This particular incident was very brutal. Police were there and the poor woman was killed."
"DON'T KILL ME"
Muhammad Aurangzeb, Farzana's 20-year-old stepson, described how one relative had tried to shoot her, then grabbed her head scarf, causing her to fall over.
While a member of Iqbal's party wrestled the gun away, a female cousin grabbed a brick and hit Farzana with it, he said.
"She was screaming and crying 'don't kill me, we will give you money'," said Iqbal. He said he tried to save her but the mob of more than 20 beat him back. Money demand was only $1,000 U.S. dollars.
At one point, six people were beating her with bricks as she screamed, he said, and he and his stepson begged police to help.
The Policed did not help. Finally she stopped screaming.
The attack happened near the gate of the heavily guarded court, the two men said, on one of the busiest roads in Lahore.
The couple had been due to testify there that morning that their marriage was genuine in response to a false charge of kidnapping brought by Farzana's family.
"She was afraid of being killed," said her lawyer, Rai Ghulan Mustafa. click: Stoned Pakistani woman's husband: I killed my first wife ...

One comment by public:
Quote "A country that tolerates such killings should not have a place among civilized nations. This is inexcusable act of evil."

PREGNANT PAKISTANI WOMAN STONED TO DEATH
Throughout the texts click colored areas for further info
A family member of a pregnant woman who was stoned to death by her own family reports that nearly 20 members of the woman's family, including her father and brothers, attacked her and her husband with batons and bricks in broad daylight before a crowd of onlookers in front of the high court of Lahore, police investigator Rana Mujahid said.
LAHORE, Pakistan (AP) — A pregnant woman was stoned to death by her own family outside a courthouse in the Pakistani city of Lahore for marrying the man she loved.
The woman was killed while on her way to court to contest an abduction case her family had filed against her husband. Her father was promptly arrested on murder charges, police investigator Rana Mujahid said, adding that police were working to apprehend all those who participated in this "heinous crime."
Arranged marriages are the norm among conservative Pakistanis, and hundreds of women are murdered every year in so-called honor killings carried out by husbands or relatives as a punishment for alleged adultery or other illicit sexual behavior.
Stonings in public settings, however, are extremely rare. This attack took place in front of a crowd of onlookers in broad daylight. The courthouse is located on a main downtown thoroughfare.
A police officer, Naseem Butt, identified the slain woman as Farzana Parveen, 25, and said she had married Mohammad Iqbal, 45, against her family's wishes after being engaged to him for years.
Her father, Mohammad Azeem, had filed an abduction case against Iqbal, which the couple was contesting, said her lawyer, Mustafa Kharal. He said she was three months pregnant.
Nearly 20 members of Parveen's extended family, including her father and brothers, had waited outside the building that houses the high court of Lahore. As the couple walked up to the main gate, the relatives fired shots in the air and tried to snatch her from Iqbal, her lawyer said.
When she resisted, her father, brothers and other relatives started beating her, eventually pelting her with bricks from a nearby construction site, according to Mujahid and Iqbal, the slain woman's husband.
Iqbal said he started seeing Parveen after the death of his first wife, with whom he had five children.
"We were in love," he told The Associated Press. He alleged that the woman's family wanted to fleece money from him before marrying her off. (to fleece money = to strip of money or property by fraud or extortion)
"I simply took her to court and registered a marriage," infuriating the family, he said.
Parveen's father surrendered after the attack and called his daughter's murder an "honor killing," Butt said.
"I killed my daughter as she had insulted all of our family by marrying a man without our consent, and I have no regret over it," Mujahid, the police investigator, quoted the father as saying.
Mujahid said the woman's body was handed over to her husband for burial.
The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, a private group, said in a report last month that some 869 women were murdered in honor killings in 2013. click: HRCP | Human Rights Commission of Pakistan
But even Pakistanis who have tracked violence against women expressed shock at the brutal and public nature of Tuesday's slaying.
"I have not heard of any such case in which a woman was stoned to death, and the most shameful and worrying thing is that this woman was killed outside a courthouse," said Zia Awan, a prominent lawyer and human rights activist.
He said Pakistanis who commit violence against women are often acquitted or handed light sentences because of poor police work and faulty prosecutions.
"Either the family does not pursue such cases or police don't properly investigate. As a result, the courts either award light sentences to the attackers, or they are acquitted," he said. click: AWAN, Advocate Zia Ahmed | Who's Who of Volunteers
